wanted: your fashion advice
I have a quandry. Cold weather is fast approaching, and I find myself without proper foot attire for school. I often just wear my converse, but the sole is falling out, they are stained from the last time I went to Holi at the Hare Krishna temple, and I feel kind of crusty teaching with them on (and I feel like a student). But. I have absolutely no idea what kind of shoes I should get. I have 1 pair of boots, but I can't wear them every day (and they become awfully tight when I try to stuff both my beefy calves AND a pair of jeans in them). I need something warm (ish), something nice (ish), and something that doesn't make me look like I've just come down from the mountains of Montana. Any suggestions?

I have loved every pair of simple shoes I have bought (simpleshoes.com). They are kind of pricey cause they are made with all eco friendly materials, but they are comfy and they have lasted a long time. Oh and my mother in law is a teacher and she loves shoes by Ecco, I guess they are really comfortable too. Good luck.
UGH I wish you were still here in Denver with me, we could go SHOE shopping!!! YAAAAY. But you're not here :( We can go when you get home at xmas time :) You could get another pair of boots that you don't have to tuck into your jeans...boots are greatm i heart them ;) pointy toe, round toe, square toe...they are great :)
Two words: Ankle Boots.
Let me know when you decide. Winter shoes are ALWAYS the bane of my winter life. I'd love to see what you come up with.
