Last week my eye doctor thought I might possibly have a brain tumor or MS or optic neuritis or something else dreadful. So for a week and a half I did too. After tears and hysteria followed by extreme anxiety, I settled into a nice indifferent sort of mood. After all, I rationalized, it couldn't possibly be me who has something horrible like MS, right? Other people get that. Not me. I'd rather have a brain tumor. So then I had an mri and waited for the results (and waited and waited and nearly blew up at the most idiotic, unhelpful morons at the radiologist's office)...

...and finally found out that my brain is free and clear of anything nasty.

Disaster averted, for now. Hopefully the spots I'm seeing in my right eye will disappear within the next month or so, leaving me only with an unpleasant memory and high bills.

OMG so glad that you are ok! What a nightmare. I am sorry that you had to go through all of that.

I really hope things turn out for the healthier. I'll be thinking of you. (I've been in the "think I have a malignant tumor for a week and a half club" and it is not pleasant! I'm sorry you had to go through that.)

When we were chasing fertility issues, I was rather pleased when they found the pituitary tumor. I thought, "Great, now we can fix everything and life will be grand." Well, they pulled that sucker out, and it wasn't a 100% solution. Oh well. Tough hanging in limbo for a diagnosis, isn't it?

Incidentally, they told me that pituitary tumors can put pressure on the optic nerve causing vision problems and headaches. I was kinda hoping you could enjoy a transsphenoidal surgery. (Word verification 'oulch')

I'm relieved you haven't a tumor or some other awful diagnosis and that your lovely brain is healthy.

Wow. I'm glad you are okay. It was fun to see you a few weeks ago. Fun in a 'fun'eral kind of way. Okay, see you in Turkey.
