Infernal insects

HELP! A strange and irritating flying white bug has made itself (or rather, themselves, for they are many) at home on the underside of my basil, sunflower, and zucchini leaves. So far they haven't been able to munch too much of my plants, but I fear what fate my plants will suffer if I leave them to fend for themselves. They don't look like aphids (or at least any aphids I've been able to find pictures of). Does anyone have any ideas? Or know someone who might know?

I need help quickly; I feel like I have the blasted white things crawling all over me.

White fly is a mobile pest. It's eggs are seen first as white dots on the underside of the leaf. After they hatch, they become a small white flying insect. When the foliage is disturbed they fly out. Most plants are not succeptible to whitefly, but the plants they do like (hibiscus) they can kill in a matter of weeks.
