Maybe along with Personal Space you could add Personal Hygiene. I've mostly noticed it with immigrants from India, but they don't know to shower daily and use deodorant. There are some guys that have been showing up at the weight room lately that absolutely REEK. That's my 2 cents.
When I worked with refugees, we covered things like daily showers and washing our clothes with statements like, "Americans do _____ every day and care about nice smells. You should know this and you can choose to do whatever you want about it, but you should know that Americans do care.
I can't edit my comment, so I'll tell you that the line in my last comment is a fill in the blank. You could put shower, use deodorant, wash your clothes or whatever you want in the blank.
I hate when people smell like their food (mexican, indian, korean, chinese, etc. - its gross.) In Rapha's esl classes, they do similar things- cultural conversations. They have talked about manners quite a bit I think.

Teach them all the things the United States has done for the world. From charity to democracy to saving many of their sorry butts in a few world wars.
I like your Dad's comment on this. Fantastic!
