Loyalist or Rebel?

This evening T-rav and I got into a brief, irrational (on my part at least) discussion about something. As usual, he sided with the Law rather than my own whimsical fancies, which naturally made me start thinking about the Revolutionary War (can't you see the obvious connection? Law abiding citizen...my loathing for authority and restrictions...naturally brings us to the Revolutionary war). And I decided that, in my opinion, T-rav would most definitely have been a Loyalist (he may have a slightly different view on this matter).

And I would have been a Rebel.

What would you have been? Law abiding, respectful Loyalist or uncivilized, unruly Rebel?

With what you know about my opinions of the Royal Family, do you really think I could have ever been a Loyalist? I would make a much better Rebel than a stuffy Loyalist.

I think I probably would be a Rebel - especially if you were around to help me get riled up about things. But I'm not sure. I sometimes bend when faced with authority. Perhaps I just would like to consider myself a potential Rebel since the Founding Fathers are so revered in our country.

Interesting question!

That is tough. I think I would have liked to be a rebel, but would have feared the loyalists!

I'm a total loyalist wimp.

I admit it.

I fear change.

And guns.

Up till I was about 46 year old I would have to say I would have been a loyalist. However, I like authority less these days and am more prone to buck the system. Chalk it up to mid life crisis if you wish. Today I would be a rebel.

I like to think I would be on the rebel side of the revolution saga. Siding with a bunch of runnin' and gunnin' farmers sounds good to me. The stuffy wool red coats just don't appeal to me. However, as i am currently working for big brother I could just be full of it.
