the things that drive me crazy/cause me anxiety (today at least)

  1. the national debt and collapsing economy
  2. students who ask stupid questions
  3. students who don't do their homework and then ask stupid questions
  4. 85 degree weather in the fall
  5. a lack of clouds anywhere in the sky
  6. not knowing how to correctly use prepositions and cases in German
  7. apples that don't crunch when you bit into them
  8. a university that regularly doesn't manage to pay its employees on time- SERIOUSLY PEOPLE
  9. students who ask me questions I can't answer
  10. not being able to make good tasting chocolate chip cookies
It hasn't been a bad day...I'm just keeping a record of the many things that make my mood change.

*Might I also add: people who honk when I don't turn right in front of the car speeding towards me down the road.

Those things do suck! Sorry about that. I just wanted to say I made that baked penne recipe tonight and we are pretty much in love with it. It was so good and I felt really good eating it. So thanks for posting it!

My very very favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe (courtesy of 'The Essential Mormon Cookbook')

1 c butter
3/4 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
3 c flour
3/4 t salt
3/4 t baking soda
1 (12oz) bag chocolate chips

1. Cream together butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla and salt. Beat until mixture pales significantly in color.
2. In a separate bowl, sift together flour and baking soda.
3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stir well, and add chocolate chips. (I usually only add 3/4 of a bag...just personal preference)
4. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes--take them out of the oven JUST before you think they're done...

MMMMMMM.
2. In a se

I would like to add to that list, people who don't use their blinkers and then get mad when you don't anticipate them turning. Sorry you had a bad day.

Sorry you are so easily annoyed. I am too. Maybe its a family thing.

As for the collapsing economy. What the heck is our STUPID government THINKING in NOT passing the bailout bill?? STUPID....the EU overnight passed something similar to help the weak economy there (results of the US) and thats like over 20 governments agreeing ... shouldn't that tell us something?!?!?! AHHHHHHHHHHH
Maybe I should just stay in Brazil????

On another note. I have a fbaulous chocolate chip cookie recipe. At least it has had GREAT success here. Then again, there isn't that much to compare it to here.

love you :P
