One of my writing level 2 students wrote a paragraph about spiders last week. I read his 1st draft and have had 3 consecutive dreams about spiders since then...and now that I'm forced to read his 2nd draft, I though I'd share his creepy, surprisingly good paragraph.
I hate spiders very much. They are so ugly. They make webs everywhere and they crawl on your body when you sleep. Sometimes they would like to disturb you when you are doing homework they hang in the air with a thread and waver in the air like they are about to fall down in your work book. Sometimes they would like to jump in your food or swim in your juice. Some of them have small bodies, long legs, and little hair. Some of them have fat bodies, short legs, and are hairy. When you kill them, it is hard to do too because they run very fast. Sometimes you cannot catch them. When you kill them, liquid always comes out from their body. Aren't they ugly? Don't you agree with me? I think there is nothing uglier than spiders in this word.
Gross!
I thought about putting a picture up, but I was overcome with shudders at the first image...and I wouldn't want to be afraid of my own blog, now, would I?

WHY would he write about that? Its just horrible.
Speaking of spiders, i saw a HUGE one in the corner of my room the other night and screamed and made rapha take it out. It was really really big. Ive never seen a spider so big. i was traumatized. I hate my room now. I am afraid that there are more under my bed that will crawl out at night. HORIBLE!!!!!!!!!! :S:S:S
Lately I've been dreaming that there are spiders running across my bed and I have to hide deep under my blanket to keep them away. It makes me wonder if they actually ARE running over my bed and dreaming about it is my subconscious reaction.
scary. you might want to bomb your house (as in bug spray) cause statistics do say we eat many spiders each year during our seemingly peaceful sleep. shudder.......
That is quite the essay. We have been invaded by potato/rolley-polley bugs lately. But we just pick them up, tell them to stay outside, and chuck them out the front door. Those aren't so bad. Sounds like this chap lives in a dark, dingy basement...
So why did you share the paragraph on spiders, so we would all have bad dreams? Funny how we find spiders so creep when some bugs, like potatoe bugs or lady bugs are considered so cute.
